I took a break from Against the Day at around page 400 (sticky notes spilling out the back of the book), but have lately found myself heading straight back in. Just when I think it might be a bit much for me, he throws in some good ol' gringo Spanish ("No say prayo-coopy, compadre!") and I'm in love again.

Stalling out must be the order of the week...for I have felt the brakes in my brain lock into place at about page eighty. Oops. I'll swing back around eventually. (This being of Mason and Dixon I should say if I haven't yet.)
